The singer, who welcomed her first daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, with husband Jay-Z in January, opened up about motherhood in the special issue:

"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth ... I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."

Since Beyonce announced her pregnancy with great fanfare onstage at the 2011 MTV VMAs, many people were fascinated by her pregnancy and waited for the child, rumored to be a girl, to make her grand entrance into the world.

The couple announced the birth of their darling daughter, writing in a statement:

"We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven ... it was the best experience of both our lives."

Since then, we've seen a few adorable photos of the happy family, and lots and lots of photos of Blue's tiny legs as she makes her way around New York with Beyonce, who stunned everyone with her slim post-baby body in February.

Recently, the family headed south to St. Barts for a tropical getaway, where Beyonce showed off an enviable beach body as well.

While the "World's Most Beautiful Woman" is loving her new life as a mom, she is also getting ready to perform again. It's reported she'll take the stage over Memorial Day weekend in Atlantic City for the first time since giving birth.

What's your work uniform?
Black booties, denim shirt, leather jacket and a statement necklace, of course.

You lived in New York City and moved to Los Angeles, has your style changed at all?
My style has definitely changed, but I think it has more to do with where I am at in my life. I was in my early twenties in New York City and my style was experimental. There was lots of vintage, crazy costume jewelry and fur coats -- it was very playful and fun. I think as I've gotten older I've turned to more sophisticated and stylized looks, but still with little hints of playfulness!

Give us some tips for throwing an insanely awesome party.
I love a good party! First and foremost, have a mix of beverages plus one signature cocktail that's pre-made to move the bar line along. Snacks of some kind are a must-have, as guests will leave a party if they are hungry. A killer playlist or DJ is crucial. Always include a few throwback songs that everyone can groove to. And lastly, have a really great invite -- font choice is crucial.

What are your interests aside from blogging?
Graphic design, music, nail art, gluten-free snacks, Palm Springs and wine.

Which beauty products can you not live without?
My momma always said, "Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!" So I moisturize, a lot.

Tell us about running your own business.
It is both super rewarding and totally stressful. I am fortunate to have a killer business partner who rides all the ups and downs with me. I absolutely love the creative freedom of being my own boss -- you get to see your vision come to life. We are also lucky enough to work with some amazing clients that let us push boundaries and come up with really compelling campaigns and events.

Mistake: Turning to translucent powder.
Translucent powder is the enemy! It washes out your complexion, drying and caking on the skin, resulting in an overall older look.
Solution:
Fight the powder and trade in your old translucent powder for a truly clear alternative like my Face Defender.

Before applying any makeup, make sure your skin is well-hydrated by using a rich moisturizer. A powder foundation offers a soft, natural looking coverage. Using a fluffy brush, apply all over the face, buffing the product into the skin.

Finish off with my Face Defender to set your makeup and reduce the appearance of any pores and fine lines.

Mistake: Using dramatic lip liner to define the cupids bow. This is an old-fashioned way of applying lip color that instantly ages you.
Solution: Instead, use a neutral liner for a defining and plumping, effect.
First, gently exfoliate your lips to create a soft, smooth canvas (a baby toothbrush works well).
Use a neutral lip liner to line the lips as you normally would, but instead of defining the cupid's bow, connect the peaks, which will make lips look naturally fuller and more supple.
Finish off by applying a light colored gloss to highlight this area.

Mistake: Applying lip gloss just on the inside of lips.
Sure, swiping on some gloss across your bottom lip is a time-saver, but it definitely doesn't help you experience all the youth-ifying benefits of your trusty lip gloss.
Solution:
Go all the way, baby! I recommend that you take your lip gloss all the way to the edge of your mouth for a fuller appearance, which imparts a more youthful look to your complexion.

Mistake: Incorrectly wielding your mascara wand.
Most women usually apply mascara by pulling the wand out to their ear, but there's a better way to give your luscious lashes some oomph, while also widening and brightening your eyes.
Solution:
First, use an over-the-counter eye drop to clear up any redness or irritation in your eyes.
Invest in an eyelash curler to give your eyes that "wide-awake" look before applying mascara.
I'm a fan of the three-pump system: start at the base of the lashes, then squeeze in the middle and end with a squeeze at the top.

When applying your mascara, use the wand to direct the lashes in toward the bridge of the nose. This give eyes the bright, youthful starburst effect.

Mistake: Drawing a thick line across the lash line. This is a surefire way of making your eyes seem closed, tired and aged.
Solution:
The thicker your eyeliner is, the more it closes the eye. Instead of trying to line your eye in one swoop, "walk" your liner back and forth across the lash line.

To avoid that "line" of skin that can appear between your lashes and your liner, work the liner right into the lashes. This is also going to help create the illusion of a thicker lash line! Have some Q-Tips Precision Tip Cotton Swabs on hand to gently smudge the liner, for a soft, sultry effect!

There you have it! By incorporating a few easy tips into your daily beauty routine, you'll see how simple it is to turn back time and look fierce and fabulous at any age.
