George Clooney’s girlfriend in cocaine nightclub scandal

[HMG] – George Clooney has one of the few scandal-free records in all of Hollywood, but his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis might soon change that – new reports are linking her to a cocaine scandal that already indicted five people.
The Italian press reports say a police investigation of two Milan nightclubs which are popular with celebrities has uncovered proof that both were apparently offering prostitutes to these upmarket clients, as well as large amounts of free cocaine.
“The girls were brought into the clubs by various people acting as PR for the evenings to entertain customers at the tables,” prosecutor Frank Di Maio has told the court in official documents. “Their job was to encourage these customers to drink, thus increasing each table’s bill; followed up by offers of sex off the premises.”
A 26-year old model known as Karima, who is originally from Paris but lived in Milan for over a year, told Di Majo she was lured into life as a prostitute by the club owners, and often did cocaine with Canalis back in 2008. Her testimony is now in the hands of the Judge – Giulia Turri.
Canalis and Clooney didn’t start dating until the following year.
The two clubs ‘Hollywood’ and ‘The Club’ were described by witnesses as “free zones,” offering free cocaine to attract VIP’s, because they believed all famous people considered themselves ‘above the law.’
“The VIP’s were protected,” Di Majo told the Judge. “They were often given cocaine for free by those who want to sit at the tables of famous people…they want the visibility that comes from being seen with models or celebrities.”
As a result of Di Majo’s research and numerous witness accounts, prosecutors shut both clubs down on Monday and placed five of the people in charge under house arrest, pending further inquiries.
There’s no comment from George yet, but you can bet he was not at the tables. Should things get worse you can expect to find him dating again very soon…
